RIVER GROVE, IL — The Bay College Norse (0-2) men’s basketball team opened its season on the losing end of a series sweep (55-98, 50-88) against the Triton College Trojans in River Grove, Il, this weekend.

Saturday, Bay struggled with shooting in the first half. Out of 24 shots from the field, they made six while going one for eight at the free-throw line. At the end of the first, the Trojans led 44-14.

The second half would be a similar story, with Triton holding on for a 98-55 win.

In the Friday game, Bay suffered a nearly identical fate, losing 50-88.

Triton opened the game with a 15-point run. Another run, 27-7, put them ahead 53-27 heading into halftime.

The Norse will move on to face Milwaukee Area Technical College at a to be determined location next Saturday.
