Braves JVs shut out by Maroons

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Braves JVs fell to Menominee 33-0 here Thursday.

The Braves (2-2) trailed 12-0 after three quarters and couldn’t make it up in the fourth after a series of interceptions and fumbles.

Two-way performer Vinny Howes notched 17 tackles and two fumble recoveries for Gladstone. Also contributing on defense for the Braves were the Mitch and Trenton Cartwright along with Jacob Perryman and Elliot Vitito.

The shorthanded Braves JVs had five players sidelined due to injuries.

The two teams will conclude their short season playing each other next Thursday at Escanaba.
