Eichhorn finishes

30th in tourney

ESCANABA — Hunter Eichhorn of Carney finished in 30th place at the Patriot All-America Invitational golf tournament in suburban Phoenix, Az. this week.

The Marquette University junior had rounds of 75-65-72 – 212 to finish two-over-par in the 83-player field at Wigwam Golf Course. The event was a benefit for the Folds of Honor Foundation.

Eichhorn had a team-low 70.39 for the Marquette golf team this fall. That also was the best stroke average in the Big East Conference.

Noah Norton of Georgia Institute of Technology was tourney medalist with 203. Tied at 204 were Jackson Suber of Mississippi, Mason Overstreet of Arkansas and Sam Choi of New Mexico.
