Exciting finishes at U.S. Log Rolling Open

GLADSTONE — It was an exciting day at the fourth annual U.S. Log Rolling Open, which was held in Gladstone for the second year Thursday.

Livi Pappadopoulos of Wisconsin defended her title by taking down Ellie Davenport of Minnesota in the finals of the women’s division. Davenport was the 2016 champion. Emily Christopherson of Oregon took third.

Tanner Hallett of Wisconsin and a college student at Cornell, won his first title by knocking out Connor Birdsong of Wisconsin in the men’s division. Anthony Polentini of Wisconsin took third.
