golf scramble

GLADSTONE — The 23rd annual Spindler Financial Edward Jones-Bob Prins Great North Auto Wash golf scramble/stag is Thursday, July 18 at Terrace Bluff Golf Club.

It is an 18-hole, 2-man best ball scramble with tee times from 2:30-4:15. Carts, beverages and grilled food will be provided on the course. There will also be cash flight prizes, hole-in-one prizes and door prizes.

Entry fee is $40 per person and $80 per team, and it must be paid at time of entry. Players must be 21 years old. To enter a team, call the Bluff (428-2343).

Hewitt shoots ace

GLADSTONE — Bob Hewitt shot his second career hole-in-one Friday at Gladstone Golf Course, using his 3-iron on the 175-yard No. 7 hole.

Gladstone men

GLADSTONE — Steve Bratonia shot a 67 to lead the way at the Gladstone Men’s 18-hole League Monday. He was followed by Wayne Marshall 69, Dick Pepin 74, Scott Neurohr and Gene Folcik 76, Bill Swartz and Dennis Bratonia 77, Rich Trombly, Mark Hager and Gary Bricco 78, and Neil Bizeau and Kelly Shea 79.

Rob Rebholz, Nate Rousseau and Tom Gereau each shot a 38 at the afternoon 9-hole league.

Irish Oaks women

GLADSTONE — Debbie Peterson shot a 40 to lead the way at the Irish Oaks Women’s League Monday. She was followed by Karen McCorkle, Sharon Pinar and Lori Shea 41, Sue Cossette and Becky Papaik 42, Rosie Spindler 43, Mary Bergman, Pat DeGrave, Jamie Pond and Robin Schwartz 44, Holly Canull, Sally Erkkila and Amanda Norkoli 45, Mary Clement and Rose Fisher 46, Betty Andrews, Judy Erickson and Hope Thompson 48, and Lynn Bisson, Cheryl Kamin, Patti Kremers, Stephanie Osterhout and Pam Weddig 49.

Terrace Bluff women

GLADSTONE — Betty Fleury shot a 42 to lead the way at the Terrace Bluff Women’s League Tuesday. She was followed by Judy Lafleur 43, Denise Wilson 45, Pat Germain, Margie Movalson, Juanita Selin, Mel Beauchamp, Jane Kleiman and Annie LaBumbard 46, Wendy Hathaway and Faye Bopp 47, and Melissa Becotte, Patty Deluxe, Kelly Hammersmith and Teresa Lafleur 49.

Highland men

HYDE — Mike Brayak, Buckwheat and Mark Ray all shot a 72 to lead the way at the Highland Men’s League Tuesday. They were followed by Jeff Lampi and Dick Puddy 73, Steve Vanenkevort 74, Don Cousineau 75, Casey Hyslop, Mark Johnson and Cory Kroll 77, and Hank Lampi and Darryl McKnight 79.
