Knudsen shoots ace

ESCANABA — Bill Knudsen of Escanaba had a super round at Escanaba Country Club Tuesday. Knudsen was 2-under-his age with a 75 during men’s league. He only needed 10 putts on his second nine, which was the front side.

LSCP golf outing

MARQUETTE — The 20th annual Lake Superior Community Partnership golf outing is Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Greywalls Golf Course in Marquette.

It is a four-person scramble teeing off at 11 a.m., and it is open to the public.

Cost is $540 for a foursome, which includes greens fees, a shared golf cart, range balls, lunch, post-golf social hour with hors-d’oeuvres, drink tickets, various golf contests and lots of networking.

Gladstone golf

GLADSTONE — Wayne Marshal shot a 72 at the Gladstone Golf Club Senior Men’s League Monday. Marshal was followed by Bill Swartz 74, and Steve Bratonia, Bob VanDamme and Gene Folcik 79.

Marc Nault and Joe Quinn each shot a 35 in the Monday afternoon league. They were followed by Pat Quinn, Tom Gereau and Cory Murray 39.

Irish Oaks women

GLADSTONE — Mary Bergman shot a 42 at the Irish Oaks Women’s League Wednesday. Bergman was followed by Holly Canull 43, Pat DeGrave, Karen McCorkle and Debbie Peterson 45, Pattie Kivioja and Sharon Pinar 46, Kirsten Vandeville 47, Sally Erkkila and Jami Pond 48 and Sharon Pinar 49.

Highland men

HYDE — Mark Ray led the way at the Highland Men’s League Tuesday, shooting the low round of 69. Ray was followed by Mike Brayak 72, Steve VanEnkevort 76, Dennis Dittrich 77, Don Cousineau, Mark Kleiman and Jeff Lampi 78, and Fran Ettenhofer and Darryl McKnight 79.
