Jets soar over C-N

POWERS — North Central pounded Carney-Nadeau 69-0 behind a dominant offensive attack here Thursday. The Jets jumped out to a 36-0 lead by the end of the first quarter and never looked back.

Brady Eichmeier got the scoring started on a three-yard touchdown run, and then followed by throwing a couple touchdowns to Noah Gorzinski and another one to Travis Bentley. Eichmeier ran for another score before the end of the quarter.

Gorzinski took over at quarterback in the second quarter and threw a couple touchdown passes before running for a 66-yard score in the fourth quarter to cap off the scoring.

“It was a good all-around win,” Jets’ coach Leo Gorzinski said. “We were able to execute using some different looks. Brady and Cole (Timblin) stepped up big for us tonight. Everyone stayed healthy, so it was a fun win.”

Gorzinksi led the Jets (7-1) passing, going 5-for-5 for 131 yards and two touchdowns. Eichmeier went 4-5 for 81 yards and three scores. Gorzinski also caught two passes for 62 yards and two scores.

Eichmeier had a huge night rushing, running for 119 yards on eight carries and three touchdowns. Timblin ran for 71 yards on five carries.

It was a long night for the Wolves, (0-8) who had to play from behind from the start.

Max Baumler led C-N passing, going 4-18 127 yards and an interception.

Jerry Lee LaFord caught two passes for 105 yards.

The Jets finish the regular season at Stephenson next Friday.

C-N will be on the road at North Dickinson Friday.
