C-N spikes BR-H

HARRIS — The Carney-Nadeau Wolves continued their winning ways Tuesday night, taking a 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-12) volleyball decision from the Bark River-Harris Broncos.

This marked the sixth straight victory for the Wolves, who hit 19 service aces.

“Any time you go on the road and get a win, it’s a nice win,” said Carney coach Steve Kedsch.

“I thought the big difference was our serving. Our serving was really on tonight and we hit for 92 percent. Taylor Kedsch, Talisha McCullough and Alanis Harris are our first three servers and they did a real good job. We put pressure on them right off the bat.”

Taylor Kedsch hit six aces to go with five kills and Ashlynn Hansen had three kills. Sandra Boulton and Harris had four aces apiece.

Layla Blahnik-Thoune collected eight assists and McCullough added seven assists and 10 digs and Harris had 13 digs.

“I thought Ashlynn did a real nice job at the net tonight,” said coach Kedsch.

Carney, which also won the jayvee match, hosts Rapid River Thursday. BR-H hosts Superior Central Thursday.

The summary:

Carney-Nadeau — Kedsch (six aces, five kills, three digs); Boulton (four aces, four kills); Harris (four aces, two kills, 13 digs).

Thoune-Blahnik (three aces, eight assists, three digs); McCullough (two aces, two kills, seven assists, 10 digs).

Hansen (three kills); Poupore (two kills, three digs).
