The 906 Fastpitch team, based out of Escanaba, won the recent 14U North American Fastpitch Association Midwest National Tournament Rockford, Ill. The squad defeated Illinois Chaos 15-3, Falls Angels 12-0, Marengo 13-3, Stiks Orange 4-3, Lincoln, Neb. Rockets 6-0 and Wasco Diamonds 2-0. In the championship games, Crush Tidal Waves earned a 14-8 victory, but 906 Fastpitch won the deciding game 13-12. Both contests went eight innings. 906 Fastpitch will compete in the 80-team Northern National Tournament at Eden Prairie, Minn. starting Thursday.
