MARQUETTE — The Northern Michigan University women’s basketball upended Walsh College 68-51 Thursday to give the Wildcats a split in their GLIAC doubleheader.

Bre Gaspervich had 26 points for NMU (6-2) and Darby Youngstrom added 15 in the GLIAC opener.

The NMU men were belted 97-77 despite scoring 19 of the final 23 points. Sam Taylor had 16 points for NMU (2-4) while Brett Branstrom of Perkins had five points and four rebounds.
