Securing America is not a Democrat strength

WASHINGTON — Democrats’ strengths:

1. Throwing money after every perceived or real problem

2. Investigating, theater, the ability to make a two-car parade look exciting

3. Hating their foes because they are “always right”

But for Democrats the word “secure” or “security” is like kryptonite to Superman.

The topic can be devastating for them. It truly does not matter what they are responsible for “securing.” It could be our borders from invasion, our inner cities from drug and gang-related crimes, or even the U.S. Capitol from a few hundred bad people. They simply cannot do it.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is the highest-ranking member of that institution responsible for protecting the Capitol. If your house were broken into, wouldn’t you be interviewed by authorities? Let’s see if that ever happens. After all, she never heeded incessant intelligence warnings.

However, the Democrats are continuing their drumbeat on Trump. This follows two failed impeachment attempts that did nothing but waste everyone’s time.

Legislate and investigate – the “walk and chew gum” test – has long been a failure for them. Pelosi holds the dubious distinction of having failed to practice Regular Order for the passage of the federal budget and appropriation bills longer than any House Speaker in history despite it being the most basic part of the job.

This is not the first time that hate of one man prevailed over the true concerns of the nation.

With the liberal media’s assistance, former President Bill Clinton gave off the appearance of being able to run circles around Speaker Newt Gingrich and the Republicans. And some hated him for it. He made it look like we in the GOP were shutting down the government while we believed he simply reneged on a deal. He blamed and embarrassed the Republicans for his political gain.

But dislike of Clinton among GOP leaders was so strong that they wanted to impeach him for being less than truthful in court proceedings, during which he eventually pleaded guilty of perjury. Personal indiscretion led him to break federal law.

On Trump, I have learned nothing new. We all know he is a sore loser. He “accidentally” turns over the checkerboard when it’s clear he is not going to win.

We all knew Bill Clinton’s challenge with fidelity but why bring that to the stage in that manner. Regardless of the outcome, did it help America? Did America benefit from such a public spectacle?

Right around the time of the Clinton impeachment you had a group of America haters from the Middle East who were training and preparing to do harm to America. Their suicide mission was not only meant to kill thousands of Americans, but they also desired to change America for the worse. Osama Bin Laden, their leader, wanted to cause economic ruin to America.

Humor me for a moment – for I don’t have any concrete proof – but is it possible that the excitement or distraction of the Clinton impeachment prior to 9/11 played a role in the fumbled turnover of government reins to President George W. Bush – a fumble that resulted in the first attack on mainland America?

Admittedly, at the very least, it was partially caused by a lack of coordination between administrations.

The attack heightened security concerns and has decreased the privacy of all Americans. And, it has cost the American people well over a trillion dollars in increased “homeland security” – a new department that is the third largest federal government agency, plus there are more than a dozen other related agencies also involved.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden quietly “cheers on” the one-sided Jan. 6 congressional hearing while overseeing a porous U.S.-Mexican border. Drug smuggling is killing Americans daily via Fentanyl overdoses and nightly inner-city gang killings, numbering in the hundreds.

America has spent more than a trillion dollars over the years securing the “front and back doors” of our country while leaving ajar every window to the house via the Mexican border. The result? We are allowing hundreds of thousands of people to walk right in.

We have no idea who they are, nor where many of them go once inside the country. If these folks wore uniforms, it would qualify as an invasion requiring our military’s involvement. All the Republican governors on the border cry out constantly for support, to no avail.

It is a crisis. The Biden Administration and the Democrat-controlled Congress choose to ignore it, are simply too busy/distracted, or are incapable of handling it. The number of illegal migrants into the U.S. has grown significantly since the start of the Biden Administration.

It is frightening to say that we truly do not know how many have come in. What we do know is that there are 55,000 getaway border crossings each month. We just need 20 American haters like the ones who carried out 9/11 to cause us great pain.

The authorities responsible should be subject to losing their jobs as they have not adequately performed their duties.

But once again, security is not a strength of today’s Democrats. But they do have a bridge they would like to sell.
