Economy bad, costs up, wages not

Letter to the editor

Lowest approval ratings yet on 84 percent of voters' number one issues: Economy and Costs of living (Pew). People nation-wide blame these on Trump's tariffs and bad Domestic Policies.

(Pew Research Center Oct. 8, 2026): Only 30 percent approve of Trump, 68 percent disapprove.

Reuters/Ipsos (Oct. 5-6, 2026): Only 32 percent approve. This is after 22 months of total Republican majority control. Republicans voted him in and enabled his bad actions. Nobody can blame Joe, Obama or Hillary now.

What else? 31 percent of his own 2024 voters now disapprove of his foreign policy, Iran war, "job performance" and handling immigration (Pew).

Independents and Latinos too are massively moving away from republicans. NBC News/Telemundo polling shows 59 percent of these voters now want a Democratic-controlled Congress! (100 percent of Democrats do.)

Like all of us honest, clear-thinking, reality-based voters, (69 percent) in the U.S. admit to not trusting that Trump keeps his personal enrichment separated from his presidential decisions. He's proven he's working for his own vanity projects and profits, not ours nor our country's best interests.

Don't forget that Donald J. Trump's Big Bad Budget Bill (HR 1) will cut Medicare, Medicaid, Affordable Care Act, Special Children's Health programs and food assistance, intentionally, strategically starting in January.

Remember -- What you did unto the least of my brethren, you did unto me. (Matthew).

Remember hospitals must treat emergencies and imminent childbirths. When those expensive necessities aren't reimbursed, our hospitals fold. Is that what you want?

If you care about yourself, your family's, community's and our nation's future then vote only for Democrats this year. If you're so buried in your past that you cannot vote for Democrats to right this ship, then maybe don't vote at all.
