Undecided voters

EDITOR:

Most voters have already made up their minds about which candidates they will vote for in the coming election, and the outcome of the election, we are often told, depends on the last minute decisions of the undecided among us.  Considering that point of view, many of the undecideds likely made up their minds recently after viewing the vice presidential debate, where JD Vance won the evening with his calm demeanor and his unfailing politeness to his opponent.

Clearly, Mr. Walz arrived primed for acrimonious confrontation, but it’s hard to score points against an opponent who smiles and calls you by your first name.

When JD Vance runs for President in 2028, I expect he will need to persuade many fewer undecided voters.
