The gravest threat
EDITOR:
Some people vote Republican because their parents did, and they don’t pay much attention currently to politics. They are too busy with their jobs with their families, following football, planning for hunting season, etc.
But the present MAGA Republican party is not your Daddy’s party. It is radically different because of Trump. He has said he is planning on being a dictator. He does not believe in our Constitution or our Democratic form of government. He wants to use the Justice Department to go after his enemies.
His lawyers have stated if he is President, he could order the Navy’s Seal Team 6 to go after and kill his political opponents and he would be immune from prosecutions. How crazy is that?
The former guy refers to immigrants as ‘vermin’, and that they are ‘poisoning the blood’ of our country. Trump wants to build internment camps and to round up millions of people if they don’t have legal citizenship.
Trump has a close relationship with brutal Russian dictator Putin, a leader who had his opponents imprisoned or murdered. All former U.S. Presidents believe that Putin and Russia are adversaries. Trump praises all foreign autocrats because he aspires to be one.
Trump is responsible for the insurrection that happened on Jan. 6, 2020. That was one of the darkest days in American history, He tried to overturn the results of the election by any means possible. When all else failed he encouraged the rioters to storm the Capitol resulting in the deaths of police officers and injury to many others.
He now calls the rioters that have been tried and convicted of crime ‘hostages and has said if elected he would pardon them, and they would be released.
Former Republican Vice President Dick Cheney recently stated that Donald Trump represents the gravest threat to our country and democracy in the entire history of the United States of America.
I couldn’t agree more.
