With the general election being just over a month away I encourage voters to get informed on the candidates and how they will represent us for the next four years. You need to know you can cross over political parties on the ballot voting for the person over party. In the Delta County Commissioners race for the City of Escanaba, District 4, Mr. Moyle’s name still appears on the ballot on the Republican side even though he withdrew from the race. He withdrew too late to have his name removed from the ballot. With that being said, even if you vote straight Republican you can vote for Kelli Van Ginhoven who is running for re-election. Just fill in her oval on the ballot. In her short time on the board Kelli has shown she puts the will of the people ahead of all else. She attends all her assigned committee meetings and more. She does her research and reports back to the people. The absentee ballots will be mailed out starting this week. Check your ballot and if you see Kelli Van Ginhoven’s name on it, fill in her oval. Mail out your ballot in the prepaid envelope. If you vote at city hall or the civic center on November 5th vote for Kelli. She has my full support
