Common sense
EDITOR:
A while back on August 28, you printed a letter from Richard Johnson. In this letter, he made the claim that Trump voters lacked reason and common sense.
I will not debate whether I have common sense or not, however I do have plenty of reason.
When Trump left office there were so fewer terrorist training camps in Afganistan. In the future it is my opinion that some of the people in these camps will kill Americans. Most likely with some of the $80 billion in weapons Biden/Harris left behind. (the camps are fact, the rest is my opinion happy Ms Van Effen?)
When Trump left office there were at least 10 million fewer migrants in this country. Some of these people have already killed Americans either with violence or with drugs they carried into the country.
Since Trump left office I have seen my home and auto insurance skyrocket, my electric service charge is up 96 percent, every food item I put in my cart is up 35-120 percent, my dog food is up 120 percent, dog treats are up 100 percent, new car prices are up 42 percent, used cars are up 50 percent, nationwide house prices and rents have exploded and the Harris plan is to increase demand ($25,000 for the first time buyer) for houses before increasing supply.
I have watched the value of my life savings decline by 40 percent due to compounding inflation and I will remind everyone, but Mr. Johnson in particular that inflation stood at 1.4 percent when Trump left office.
As far as Mr. Johnsons statement that “K Harris has shown she has good character”, perhaps he should research how she got her start in politics. Not a path most Americans would want a daughter to follow.
Wokeness has led to a sharp decline in military recruiting. A 35 percent decline in males joining the Army alone. Apparently the “Bud Light” lesson was lost on Biden/Harris.
Mr. Johnson, if meeting your definition of common sense means voting for more of the misery listed above, I would be proud to be considered “dumb as a stump”.
