Great concert

EDITOR:

What do Presbyterians, bay de knockers, Padua’s, John I. on the pipes, Barbershopper’s Cohen “Hallelujah,” EHS and Father Tim have in common? Last Friday night, Enhance Escanaba sponsored the Resurrection of Escanaba’s annual Festival of Choirs after a four-year absence. St. Joseph/St. Patrick Church in Esky was the location with its stunning acoustics. 100 singers sang before a full house, six choirs singing their selections and then combining together to perform Handel’s “And the Glory of the Lord” and the house rocker, “Hallelujah Chorus” as the finale.

It was the ultimate Christmas concert, and as in the past, it ended with a standing ovation and follow-up reception. Don’t miss it next December. You can hear the whole program on Christmas Eve, 5 p.m., AM600/FM93.5 and Christmas Day, 4 p.m., FM105.5. Enjoy.
