Escanaba roads
EDITOR:
Let me say up front, I do not have a problem with the guys actually doing the work; driving the trucks, digging the ditches, that is brutal work at times. My problem is who is “in charge” of those workers, the supervisors/management, whatever.
I think it was three years ago that Escanaba was told to dig up a perfectly good water system because Flint pulled a stupid move trying to save money. Esky has lead in their pipes. Testing indicated that it was inconsequential. Not a worry. Not much happened since, except they tore up Stephenson Ave. This whole summer, two years on now, Stephenson Avenue is still very screwed up. I heard, and read the excuses, and I don’t think they fly. Now, just about every street in town is blocked off by the replacement of the lines. We are all over town and there are so many ripped up streets that I don’t think they have enough time to re-do the asphalt by the time the snow flies.
Heck, Wisconsin from Abrams into Green Bay got totally re-paved. I just got a thing in the mail saying they need customers. Really. What is the problem? Actually, I know what the problem is. How do the ones that caused that problem, fix it?
