Follow the science
EDITOR:
Once upon a time… that’s right following the science has become a fairy tale. Knowing this is an opinion page, obviously, I am going to share my opinion in this article. However, I’d like to start by actually following some science that, I believe, all would agree with. Case in point: Once upon a time smoking was allowed everywhere and in every enclosed space imaginable, including bars, restaurants, and airplanes, virtually everywhere. It is no secret that those who did not smoke hated inhaling/smelling second-hand smoke. Eventually, the science said, “second-hand smoke is known to cause cancer.” Hence, the ‘science’ said it was best to ban smoking in all enclosed places. And, as a result, it turns out the follow-the-science decision has proven to be a great one. Those orchestrating this effort at reform should be applauded.
Follow the science has become a focal point, a rally cry, if you will, for those who want you to swallow their opinion, hook, line and sinker. Over the past three years, it has become very apparent that those who use the term follow the science may be trying to shove their opinion down our throat. Case in point: Kamala Harris recently gave a speech at a “Reproductive Freedom” gathering. She can be heard saying, “we have an opportunity to shape our future by maintaining the right to choose abortion.” She is not following the actual science. She is pushing her opinion, backing the narrative that abortion is not murder, rather it is freedom to choose. However, the actual science says life begins at conception. If you choose to maintain the notion that abortion is not murder, I challenge you to watch the youtube video called The Silent Scream. You will see an ultrasound of an actual abortion. The video shows the arms and legs of the baby being cut off. You will also see the head of the baby being crushed, and all throughout the abortion, the baby is seen kicking and fighting against the doctors effort to end its’ life.
President Biden can be heard, “it’s almost a sin to keep a child from pursuing gender affirmation procedures.” Well, Mr. President the actual science of this craziness objectively identifies the side-effects of so-called gender affirmation and, sadly, you don’t hear anybody in the medical world speaking of these horrific effects. Namely: According to Endocrinologist, Dr. Quenten VanMeter, “the chemicals given and the surgical procedure can’t change the chromosomes. Biologically, you are still male or female. Instead, the so-called gender affirmation procedures do two things. Your immune system is radically compromised so that you will immediately start chasing disease of every kind. Secondly, those who choose to pursue gender altering procedures will cut their life expectancy in half.”
And to think, here in Michigan, we passed Proposal 3, taking the voice/consent of the parent away and leaving the decision to a teenager. I’d bet not one teenager has been told the side-effects.
Does this sound like happily ever after?
