Voters did speak on election day

EDITOR:

The voters make their choices and often are proven right.

In a letter to the editor published on March 6, 2023, Van Ginhoven quoted Commissioner Moyle to meet anyone wishing to discuss the county and any issue or question they may have. Her response was a perfect demonstration of her being a large part of the problem.

Van Ginhoven was very free in posting her personal evaluation of problems while openly refusing to deal with them in an honest and open conversation. I believe her fear in so doing demonstrates her real agenda, like a burglar in the night sneaking in, taking what she wants and sneaking out before facing a differing opinion.

She states “I have no desire to sit at a table and have coffee with…” and then presents a list of complaints. Van Ginhoven doesn’t want to resolve issues, she just wants to silence anyone daring to differ.

Van Ginhoven claims her opponent acts only in his best interests, without seeking clarification of the comment. Instead she carefully twists words into what she needs, to further her agenda.

Van Ginhoven alleges that her opponent cuts off discussion at meetings and fails to honor a request by another commissioner. This while she is doing that exact thing she is complaining about with her letter. Kelli, the word you correctly used is “request”, you seem to have that mixed up with “demand” as request provides an option. The chair of any board is charged with efficiently running a meeting and controlling filibusters intended to stall he business of the county. But Kelli doesn’t want to meet and talk about it.

Van Ginhoven alleges, her opponent has cost the county tens of thousands of dollars; but somehow fails to explain what these alleged costs are or how she and her followers willfully obstruct the board from their jobs, one of which will save the county over a hundred thousand dollars. But Kelli has “no desire to sit as a table…” Might there be a political motivation with her refusal?

Van Ginhoven takes issue with her opponent promoting E2W (end to Woke) while never bothering to ask anyone involved in the movement what E2W means; instead choosing to interpret it as suits her agenda. I personally came up with the concept, designed the logo and invested in the “merch” promoting the message. Nobody, including the Daily Press, have ever asked me or Moyle about it. But she has no desire to…

Ironically, Van Ginhoven’s last excuse proves through her refusal, that Moyle is exactly correct.

Perhaps Van Ginhoven’s rhetoric needs to be changed. The voters did speak on election day, very clearly, hense saving us the time and energy of removing her by never giving her a seat at the table.
