It is practically unbelievable that the Delta County Commission would vote to approve a contract that they haven't read. How do I know they haven't read it? Because -- by their own admission and this paper's reporting -- it hasn't been written yet! This kind of behavior is one of the worst forms of dereliction of duty and failure to uphold their oath of office. A total failure in their fiduciary duty, as well. This kind of behavior by elected officials makes the U.P. look like a third rate backwater community scaring away economic and other kinds of development.
