Commissioner concerns

EDITOR:

“The question was asked, ‘Am I listening’ and the answer is ‘Yes, always’. I can sit at a table with you and talk religion and politics without getting stinky or snarky and if you’re sincerely interested I’ll buy the coffee and we can sit down and talk. I’ve been called a bully in the past months… I don’t believe I am if I’m willing to meet you and buy the coffee and see what you have to say.” -Commissioner Moyle 2-21-23

I have no desire to sit at a table and have coffee with a man who spread repeated lies about myself and my family before, during, and after the last election.

I have no desire to sit at a table and have coffee with a man who does what he wants, not what’s in the best interest of the county (“I, myself, want to see this board get out of handling ethics”).

I have no desire to sit at a table and have coffee with a man who, at commissioner meetings, cuts off other members while speaking and refuses to take a request from another commissioner (ex: Malnar requesting to question Prosecutor Wickman about the termination of Conservation District contract, Moyle refused).

I have no desire to sit at a table and have coffee with a man who claimed to want to save our county money by not attending his required committee/board assignments and then within his first two months as chair has cost the county tens of thousands of dollars. And it continues to rise.

I have no desire to sit at a table and have coffee with a man who claims not to be a bully but then promotes E2W, a self-proclaimed slogan of “End 2 Woke”.

Lastly, I have no desire to sit at a table and have coffee with a man who said, “you can’t talk to Democrats”, and expect to have an honest and open conversation about potentially opposing viewpoints.

Commissioner Moyle needs to understand that the majority of his constituents do not share his views. He needs to change his rhetoric or we need to remove him from his seat. Because, I for one, will not sit at a table, have coffee and talk with him after the actions he has displayed.
