Gender terms
EDITOR:
Over the past years there has been noticeable attempts to socially alter (through political means) the definition or meaning of terms associated with gender and sex. There is no scientific evidence that in humans there are sexes other than male and female. “Gender” is simply a construction of languages in an attempt to categorize words. Languages derived from Latin, or northern European origins recognize the equivalent of masculine “he/him”, feminine “she/her” and neutral “it/them” as expressions of gender. There are in fact some languages which do not recognize that words have genders. This has been accepted for centuries and the best or worst of literature has used these terms without question and were universally understood. Of late, sex and gender seem to have been “co-mingled” in an attempt to either confuse or (more likely) control the direction of our language.
In the last century a more benign form of word altering was performed to identify, or isolate, persons of a recognizable group. These groups were organic as to race, religion or national origin. Some terms were purely derogatory (won’t say them), some more “playful”… I knew lots of Polish folks who told the best Polish jokes. Now, instead of race, national origin, religion, etc. as group identifiers, sex is used to generate new divisions/terms which are created to identify, with the help of a dark subset of the “Woke” movement, new victims demanding recognition as either a new or modified sex, or through actions or proclivities, a new gender. Both seek recognition and special status for protection as a group. This demand for protection likely will take the form of government mandated acceptance and the granting of special privileges. The remainder of us not covered by protected status will be forced to alter our lives and language conforming to new terms and scientifically unsupportable concepts.
The origin of this movement seems to stem from the false concept that you can actually change your sex… guess what, you can’t. There are, however, those who would seek to convince you that your perspective about your sex can be altered. But… it is they who wish to guide you toward a decision more suited to their social standards. This is being perpetrated on the youngest, and most impressionable of us. If an authority figure says to a child “you don’t really want to do “X” do you…” the child will likely respond in some fashion that no, they don’t. Advanced education in psychology not required to understand the implications of that. The “authority” figure has shifted from the parents and their trusted support groups to the Woke representatives. This would be anyone promoting the idea that you can change your sex or you are free to demand that others unquestionably accept your choice of personal expression, you’re not.
To those Woke among you who wish to unilaterally determine and develop the future of our children recognize that you will be ultimately responsible for the adulteration of their lives.
