Recently I tested positive for COVID-19. I am 44 years old, and in overall good health. COVID hit me like a freight train. It was terrible. One day, a runny nose, but the next day, total exhaustion, with cold and flu-like symptoms, along with a persistent cough. For several days, getting out of bed took everything I had, just to get water and to use the restroom, then right back to bed. I was vaccinated with Moderna, and a booster shot about a year ago. I wish I had gotten the latest booster. Up until recently, I wore a mask everywhere. But it seemed like at some point, things would get back to normal. My experience shows me that isn’t the case. I am a private person, but felt obligated to share this. Everyone, please stay safe, remain vigilant, and realize the danger.
