Vote privacy
EDITOR:
The privacy of a voting booth may be our only privacy not yet violated. The right to cast a vote for a person you wish to represent you, or policies that effect you is one of our most cherished. When you vote in these mid term elections remember, you are not required to tell anyone how you voted. I’ve been in situations where people ask for whom I’ve voted. It is, of course, none of their business. People may feel pressured to divulge their choices or feel coerced to vote a specific way. Remember, this is “your” right and it is to be done in private.
Whether you chose to vote straight party or split party, please understand there is a third segment besides Republican, Democrat or minor parties. Many good candidates are running on the non-partisan ballot. These people deserve your consideration as well. In some instances, where there can only be one “party” candidate, there are non-partisan candidates are also running for those positions.
Consider this… are you beholden to your conscious or the coercion of others? I’ll let my conscious be my guide.
