Parker column

EDITOR:

Whoever is in charge at the Daily Press needs to go outside and get some fresh air. Go and talk to some people at the grocery store. Listen to the people. In your backyard. You will find out that not everyone watches MSNBC, or CNN. In fact, you will find that the 15 viewers that MSNBC has are in Marquette or Houghton.

Kathleen Parker writes that “Weirder Republicans” have been returned to power. Weirder? And how were they returned? By a larger number of Americans voting for them. Those weirder Republicans!

The “angry hoards attacked the Capital. No, not a smart move, but a whole summer saw police stations burned to the ground, Post offices destroyed, hundreds, or thousands of small mom and pop stores destroyed, and dozens killed. Were these “angry hoards?” Oh, that’s right, they called it “mostly peaceful” while standing in front of a burning block of small businesses

I put this at the feet of the editor of the Daily Press. Your choice to print an editorial like that is beyond my comprehension. If I had enough room, I would, and could debunk everything she wrote. With facts.

Obviously, she has a tremendous amount of hate toward Republicans, in general, but Trump specifically. You, as editor must have the same problem. Two years since he has been in power and look at the country today. It’s a mess.

As far as Kevin McCarthy showing respect for Pelosi. When is Nancy going to show respect for any Republican? Let me know if it ever happens.

I know that the Escanaba Daily Press is liberal. I get it. But, you keep printing this crap and your circulation keeps dwindling. You print one of my letters every now and again. There are people I know who write letters to the editor and never get printed. Perhaps you could have some of those letters instead of Kathleen Parker?
