Letter response
EDITOR:
I would like to respond to a letter submitted to the press by Ms. Ann Fix.
As I understand. attempts to weaponize the secretary of state office against current and running Delta County Commissioner David Moyle.
First, the claims that Commissioner Moyle’s yard signs did not contain the disclosure required by law. Commissioner Moyle took the issue very seriously, and investigated not only the reported addresses, but the vast majority of the signs in circulation. What was found was not the reported addresses, but a very small number of signs that had a print error. This was immediately corrected.
Commissioner Moyle offered free women’s self-defense classes in 2020, and again this year in 2022 as a way to thank this community for its support. Commissioner Moyle received no compensation for these classes, or donations for his carnpaign. Yet he was made a punching bag by those who, quite frankly, do very little to reach out to the community on a personal level.
My experience with Commissioner Moyle has always been one of positivity. Despite the challenges and attacks he has received by the opposing political party, he displays humility and offers to help with anything he can do to make the community a better place. It is a true honor to have Commissioner Moyle in Delta County.
Following the pattern of attacks on good people. Meredith Seppanen was also bullied into dropping her campaign by the same group that still continues to launch these ridiculous attacks at Commissioner Moyle. All I have seen from the Democrats, is endless and destructive conflicts that do nothing to serve the community, other than spread hate and malice. One day I hope for a time when we can view both parties with pride and watch them work together for the sake of everyone.
