My name is John Pickard and I am a lifelong Delta County resident and I want to go on record as endorsing Steve Viau for the office of Delta County commissioner for District 2.

Steve has lived and worked effectively as a businessman and has the experience of interacting with the public, He brings excellent credentials as a volunteer and member of a variety of local clubs, organizations and boards. During his lifetime of public involvement he has formed a unique personal perspective and has learned a skill set from life encounters along with training to bring strategies that have helped other business and people overcome dispute, misunderstanding and disagreements to the direction of manageable outcomes. I know Steve will be proactive not reactive in managing the county budget and finances both effectively and efficiently. He will keep an open dialogue with county residents. He believes in fair process, equal treatment without favoritism.

He is honest, reliable, and willing to work the long hours needed for the position. I believe Steve Viau is the person best qualified to be our next county commissioner for District 2.
