My husband, the late Paul Caswell, loved our community and was extremely interested in our city and county government, including serving on the planning commission. Several years ago, he met a young business owner by the name of Kelli VanGinhoven and told me how impressed he was with her desire to serve her community, her determination to work hard to achieve her goals, and her eagerness to learn all she could about city and county government. He encouraged her to run for public office someday and said that he would be happy to be part of her campaign. Sadly, he passed away before he could see that happen. Since then, however, I have had the privilege of working with Kelli, and I am constantly amazed by her energy, her eagerness to learn as much as she can about our county government, and her willingness to listen to the concerns of all of the citizens of Delta County. I have attended many meetings with her and have come to know that when we leave each meeting, she will say that she is so glad that she went, that she felt like she learned so much, and that she is truly excited by all of it. In my opinion, these are the qualities that make an excellent candidate for County Commissioner. Therefore, I am asking you to vote for Kelli VanGinhoven on November 8.
