EDITOR:

In today’s day and age there is nothing more important than the push to encourage young people to vote. As a college student, away from home, it is extra important to stay involved. That’s why I’m voting absentee.

As the age of our politicians begins to increase, the amount of human rights we as Americans have begins to decrease. As an American woman I must acknowledge the fact that my reproductive rights are now at risk, making this election immensely important for the future of women young and old and in this country. It is us as a population that must elect the correct people to office to ensure that our basic rights are protected on a state and national level.

Locally, in the November 8 election, I will be voting for Kelli VanGinhoven, for county commissioner in District 4, and I am also encouraging everyone to support and vote for Theresa Nelson for County Commissioner in District 3.
