Poor attendance
EDITOR:
To the community of Rock, and Maple Ridge Township, we were disappointed that we only had three individuals who took the time to attend the Flag Day ceremony at the veterans memorial. The ceremony included the proper disposal of retired American flags, by honorably burning them.
Democracy dies when its people become complacent to the liberty and privilege of honoring the country and flag that many people died to protect.
