A conundrum

EDITOR:

The American Heritage Dictionary defines a conundrum as a “problem admitting of no satisfactory solution, [or] a difficult and complicated problem, [or, a] riddle in which a fanciful question is answered by a pun.” One of these problems is “lost” money in the thousands. So find it! Until then, no “planned” utility and tax hike on the already put upon “too expensive to live here” citizens. Conundrum solved? No, Yikes. New dumbness: telling above citizens that now more money is needed. Why”? For a marijuana attorney. What kind of joint is this. (pun) Why can’t the draw (pun) be what we have; our spectacular waterfront, the Bonifas Art Center, our own Bay College etc. We don’t want to give more money to be lost. (We don’t have it.) Problem solved; a new ordinance is needed to keep Escanaba a town of exceptional beauty and opportunity. No more seize the day, possible money ventures until an in-house committee does a study of a comparable community and the consequential costs.
