EDITOR:

I just finished reading the Daily Press from April 29, 2022. The editorial page is my favorite read, my problem is with the Jamie Stiehm editorials the latest (April 29, 2022) brought me to write this letter.

The problem really begins about three-quarters of the way, in the first column. She says remember when getting caught lying on tape was a problem, I remember President Bill Clinton lying under oath about having sex with Monica Lewinsky and getting away with it. There’s lots of other stuff she throws out.

The next thing I really find fault with is column three at the top it starts, anyone who was in the House Chamber on the darkest day as MaCarthy was, as I was — knew the blood thirsty mob almost broke in.

Over the sound of gunfire we — the members and the Press narrowly escaped from the sieg’s of fury.

As I remember from seeing on TV and hearing on the news the only gunshots were the black police officer shooting and killing the 35 year old white woman who was unarmed.

Like I said I enjoy reading the editorial page but Jamie Stiehm’s political slant in misrepresentation of facts is some of the worst writing I have seen.
