U.P. campaign

EDITOR:

I want to thank the Upper Peninsula for welcoming me and my campaign for governor as we traveled through last week. From meeting with local business leaders like Heather at Drifter’s and Marilyn at Snowmobile Museum to meeting with local activists at Hereford and Hops in Escanaba, the warm reception left me with optimism for Michigan’s future.

We have a lot of work to do to get Michigan back on track after four failed years with Governor Whitmer at the helm. The career politicians in Lansing work for themselves, instead of for us. We need to get government out of the way. We must set free our local small businesses from undue regulations and unnecessary hurdles that impede the great Michigan ingenuity that has brought fully to bear the arsenal of democracy. There is work to be done and I know how to create an environment for all of us to have the opportunity to be successful. This campaign is just getting started and I look forward to getting back up here soon.
