Roe vs. Wade

EDITOR:

This letter is in response to “Roe vs. Wade”

First lets get this out — rich women get an abortion any time they need one. No questions asked. That is anyone with enough money.

That leaves women who are too poor to fly out of state to get the procedure.

Whether it is rape, incest by a family member, unable to feed another child or danger to the mother’s life no woman makes this decision lightly. That Ms. Carlson feels she has the right to tell another person what to do with his or her body amazes me.

Yes, I said “his.” Many men refuse to be vaccinated with the possibility of causing illness or death to others. Does she not care about the death of the “others?”

Finally, no anti-abortionist ever says what they would do with the baby. If you think the mother falls in love with the child and the two will live happily ever after, you live in a fantasy world.

We read of far too much child abuse and of babies found in dumpsters.

If a baby’s life is so precious, why does no one do a follow up to make sure he or she is well cared.

As Representative Stupak once posed the question to his fellow Congress members, “Why don’t we take care of the children we already have?”
