Today’s paper, January 3, 2022, headline states that unemployment ticks up in November. 5.1% in Delta County. Right now, Meijer, Menards, Elmer’s, and Walmart all are short-staffed. The paper mill has been advertising. Andex workers are working overtime every week. I have picked up workers from every type of business and they all tell me that they are under-staffed. So, this is troubling. Nobody to work, but five out of every 100 are collecting money from the government; from me. Where does government get the money to pay them for not working? Your tax money. Have you ever sat at one of these stores and watched the crowds go in to spend your money? Just take a few minutes and count 100 people and realize that five of them have your money.
