EDITOR:

I am not a hero guy. So much of that is media hyperbole these days. However, I must highlight teachers, school administrators, and school boards in this era of COVID heroes. These folks have had their careers turned upside-down and gutted. They’re facing technology developments, technology failures, in-class/virtual flip-flops, exacerbated family discord, and any number of other significant challenges and demands. Yet, the majority remain dedicated to providing the best attention to children as possible.

Teachers have been beat-up repeatedly over the years. Yet, they still teach. They still care. They care about our children and their future, our future. While they all have a lot to grumble about, they continue to provide the finest service possible, in a very difficult and unpredictable environment. Be kind to our teachers. They deserve so much more.
