Thank you to the Escanaba citizen for your letter to the editor on Aug. 11 regarding the theft of your Trump sign. Sadly, your letter will be able to be used as a template letter many times in the months to come, and it will be used by members of both political parties. Below is your letter that I used as a template but revised to show that theft is happening across political parties:

You may not agree with the Democratic side of the equation, but that does not give you the right to steal my neighbor’s Biden 2020 sign from her yard. Isn’t it sad when something like this happens? This sign was placed in her yard on Lake Shore Drive, Escanaba, so not only are you a thief, you also are a trespasser. Whoever stole it; would you do the right thing and put it back?
