Setting the record straight
EDITOR:
In honor of those who were awarded decorations for valor in combat and those who should have been awarded decorations for valor, I want to correct any misimpression Dr. Blasier may have given in his March 11 letter to the editor.
Dr. Blasier referred to me as a “decorated U.S. Marine combat veteran.” I am a former active duty Marine who served in Vietnam for about six months. I was not awarded any decorations for valor.
