Expensive program

EDITOR:

Is Medicare the most expensive insurance in the world? It currently costs about $134/month for part B plus $52/month for part-D drug coverage on average plus $225/month per person for the popular plan F supplemental policy to fill in the gaps plus 3 percent of every paycheck in America to cover only 15 percent of the people in the country — and it is still expected to go bankrupt by 2024. Forcing everyone in America onto this plan would equate to more than $1,600/month in premiums for a family of four and the Medicare tax would have to increase to 20 percent of every paycheck in America to keep the same funding level and we still wouldn’t have solved the minor detail that it is going to be bankrupt in just a few years. This has to be the most expensive insurance in the world.
