Pence’s island drive
EDITOR:
An article in our newspaper reports that Vice President Pence flew to Mackinac Island and was then brought to the Grand Hoted by eight motor vehicles.
My question is: How could this violation of the laws, rules, and regulations of Mackinac Island have been allowed? The island in all aspects has always been non-political, and no vehicles except emergency service allowed. The governor, the park commission, and anyone else involved owe the citizens of Michigan an explanation and apology.
