I would like to answer Kevin Crupi’s recent letter to the editor advocating letters to Rep. Jack Bergman. First, global warming is a great distraction and not a serious problem, it is a way to force us into global socialism. It is not revenue neutral as the money to reward companies to innovate comes from the government and the government is very poor at picking winner and losers in new innovative discoveries. Mr. Crupi tries to scare people with weather calamities even though there is no data that suggests increases in hurricanes and tornadoes. In fact they have not increased in numbers or severity and anyone can check this by doing their own search. Do not equate increased coverage with increased occurrence.

More importantly please realize that CO2 is not harmful to earth. Please go to NASA’s site and look up CO2 fertilization. You will see a 5-50 percent greening over a lot of the world. Sub-Saharan is greening a lot and this means more food for animals and humans. Ecosystems are not being destroyed by CO2 they are being improved in many ways. People see images of polar bear afloat on ice and feel that they are dying when in fact polar bear numbers have increased by 30 percent in the last 15 years.

Lastly the scientific consensus is not true. This comes from analysis of 11,000 papers on global weather done by a pro-warming fear monger. The data from these papers show that only 30 percent of the papers even commented on global warming. What is true number of consensus. Remember part of this consensus includes the scientific administrators of different organizations and does not reflect the scientific ideas of their members.

Lastly, all the climate models have been wrong over the past seven year in which temperatures have remained stable with the only model (of over 20) that has shown agreement with actual temperature of the past decade is the Russian model which does not add in the CO2 projected effect on temperature that the others use. Also more research money is being directed toward scientist doing research that agrees with the present climate hysteria. Remember the hysteria of acid rain, ozone layer depletion and yes global cooling. Chicken littles please stop the new hysteria.
