Water rate increase
EDITOR:
I have seen very few facts regarding the (water) increases. I have seen a lot of anger on the folks who are going to actually pay it. I have also heard several times that “the law” requires that we replace everything. I do not believe that it is a “law”. The DEQ has recommended these replacements. We should replace the lead pipes, as needed. Do we really care what the DEQ recommends? What if we go against the DEQ’s recommendations? If our elected officials — senators and representatives — actually pass a law and the governor signs it that is a different story.
