Today marks a grave injustice

EDITOR: Today marks a grave injustice

Last month we celebrated the birth of Christ, the true meaning of life! Today, January 22, 2019, however, prolifers will observe a grave injustice to the sanctity of life, the 46th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. This Supreme Courts decision legalized the senseless slaughter of 59 million precious unborn babies up until birth by abortion in this country alone. In 1857, the U.S. Supreme Court decision Dredd Scott said “slaves weren’t legal persons. In 1973, the Roe v. Wade decision said “the unborn babies are not legal persons.” they were wrong then! they are wrong now!

There is hope, though, for the future of the unborn that the Supreme Court will overrule Roe v. Wade just as they did the Dred Scott decision. Also, our local pregnancy services and the opening of pregnancy resource centers across the country giving help and hope to women and families in crisis situations.

Prolife advocates locally and across this country are remembering this day of infamy with prayer vigils, rallies and marches. Right to Life of Delta County has a special billboard located across from the fairgrounds with a picture of a unborn baby with the message “Pray and Work to end Abortion,” today a full page signature ad is in the Daily Press with the same picture and message. It also includes this Bible verse: “I say to you what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me,” Matthew 25:45.

May God bless each and every person for all your continued help, support and prayers to help restore and promote a Culture of Life in our area and country.
