Story touched the heart
EDITOR:
The story that ran in the Daily Press Tuesday, Dec. 18th, 2018 very much touched my heart. “Michigan man 90, brings Christmas to wife in nursing home.”
I’ve worked in a nursing home for 24 years full time now. I always said “hardest job I’ve ever had, but most rewarding.”
When someone has to take there loved one to a nursing home its probably the hardest thing they have to do. Just so you know anyone who works in this kind of setting truly cares and they become our family, We laugh with them, sing, cry, hug and hold their hand. We get thanks with a smile.
