A thank you to those who serve people

This week’s bouquets go to:

From Janet Lindstrom of Escanaba:

I would like to thank two groups of people who work in a serving position in our community. I know there are many people in our community who serve others but lately these people have come to my mind.

First of all our restaurant and fast food owners and staff. They have been working so very hard because we have had so many events going on in our town this summer and I hope they have been appreciated because I know they have been shorthanded. They have treated the patrons with respect and kindness and have shown our U.P. hospitality that we are noted for. I know they must go home after work exhausted. Please treat them with kindness and respect.

The second group are those who take care of our elderly in nursing homes. They are shorthanded also, but the people who are working are doing their best to give good care and compassion to their patients. Please treat them kindness and respect.

The work ethic in our society today is very sad. So few are doing so much. I applaud your work ethic and I appreciate all you do for others.
