Civic Center gets support

This week’s bouquets go to:

The Wells Lioness has donated to the Catherine Bonifas Civic Center After School Program. The After School Program started up for the season on September 11. Recreation Director Kim Peterson stated, “The After School Program is held at the Catherine Bonifas Civic Center and is a great place for youth in 4th to 12th grades to come and utilize the facility from Monday to Friday 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays 12 to 6:30 p.m. The facility is a supervised environment and provides food/snacks, hygiene items and school supplies. We are very grateful for the Wells Lioness for their donation to our program and for their continued support.”

The Community Foundation for Delta County and Highline have partnered with the Escanaba Recreation Department to have a Halloween celebration at the Catherine Bonifas Civic Center on Tuesday, October 31, from 4 to 6 p.m. Families can come and get a hot dog, drink and snack and continue their tricking or treating within the neighborhood. Recreation Director Kim Peterson stated, “The partnerships with the Community Foundation for Delta County and Highline are a great collaboration to give back to the community and have families stop by the Civic Center. We enjoy seeing the kids dressed up for Halloween.”
