Art fund makes a difference

This week’s bouquets go to:

Escanaba Senior High School’s Visual Arts Club has received a generous donation from John Sesney honoring Fay Sesney. Fay was an outdoor enthusiast, an active community member, a successful stained glass artist, business woman, and an educator. John wanted to establish a fund in honor of Fay’s name that would serve and support the art students in the high school and tasked art teacher and Art Club advisor, Cathy Uhazie, with the best means of disbursement.

So far the funding has been used to create several new murals throughout the high school. Funding has also been used to support the school’s art classes by financially supporting the art prizes bestowed upon students who excel at exemplary artistic skills. This also motivates and encourages students to excel artistically. Cathy Uhazie is extremely grateful for Doctor Sesney’s donation. It affords students the ability to create more murals that not only the students can enjoy; but every visitor who visits our building. Anyone who looks

upon these murals appreciate their work, which also rewards students

for giving it their all.
