Local media gets praise

This week’s bouquets go to:

Gayle DeShambo, account executive with UP Health System Hospice, would like to share a huge shout out to our local media. Recently when working on a project to honor and recognize Vietnam Veterans, I really didn’t expect more than 50 area folks to attend. I am excited to announce over 125 veterans and their guests attended. I do not believe this would have ever happened without the incredible media coverage from The Daily Press, U.P. Action News, Radio Results Network, Escanaba Radio Group and TV-6.

I am so privileged to be part of such an amazing team serving our community with hospice care. Being able to share the hospice message of compassion and caring to so many who find it difficult to reach out in their time of need and share the understanding of when to accept hospice and what to expect has been my honor to share with so many. I truly believe this message is becoming a more comfortable conversation throughout our community because of the dedication of our local media’s commitment to sharing events and educational opportunities related to our services. Thank you Daily Press, Radio Results Network, Escanaba Radio Station and TV-6 for your amazing support and coverage of community stories.
