Christmas Poinsettia Memorial Service fundraiser a success

This week’s bouquets go to:

It is that time of year when we all try to gather to celebrate the Christmas Holidays and to share memories and traditions but sometimes Mother Nature has a different plan. The First Annual Christmas Poinsettia Memorial Service fundraiser was cancelled because of the winter storm and rescheduled. Even with the last minute changes the event was an amazing success.

The event was organized by UP Health System Hospice, AirMedCare Network, and the Delta County Cancer Alliance; along with the support of Scott Knauf, Wickert’s Floral, Pink Pumpkin, Reflections, Stephen Steger, and Megan Fritz. The event was held at the Delta County Chamber of Commerce where we displayed over 40 poinsettia plants that were purchased in memory of loved ones who have passed. The program included a memorial service presented by Stephen Steger, Megan Fritz shared her beautiful voice with endearing Christmas songs and Reflections entertained with songs of joy and jazz.

We would like to thank Wickert’s Floral to agreeing to donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of poinsettia plants. We look forward to planning the Second Annual Event for 2022.
